About Clevedon Court

The beautiful manor house known as Cleveden Court was built in the 14th century. It retains many original features including an earlier tower, thought to date 12th century and a 13th century Great Hall. The Elton family have lived at the manor since 1709 and a family member still lives there today.

It is a dazzling house with a picturesque exterior. Inside there is a beautiful display of glassware, splendid paintings and some fine furniture. Surrounding the house there are well laid out 18th century terraced gardens and parkland with outbuildings.

This small charming manor has the air of a well loved and lived-in English country home where the visitor feels immediately at ease, it is a pleasure to look around.

There is limited opening throughout the summer months which is normally confined to Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday's and Bank Holidays.
